Every chinese new year in the philippines, most Chinese families buy
boxes of tikoy to give away to clients, suppliers, friends, neighbors,
and relatives. Nowadays, several flavors of tikoy has emerged in the market. The flavors I know of are brown, white, ube, and pandan. I'm sure there are other flavors available out there. Today, I received 3 boxes of tikoy with flavors white, brown, and ube. The flavor I like most is white, I haven't tried ube though. the person who gave me tikoy said that ube flavor tastes good. It has been a long time since I had tikoy, 2 years at least. Tikoys are not famous in Japan, I dont even think they have it here or if they have it perhaps it has a different name. Tomorow, I will share the tikoy to my officemates, I will have to wake up early to cook some for them and bring it to the office. I wonder which flavor I'll bring. Anyway, I cant wait to get home tonight to have a taste of ube flavored tikoy. |
