Recently I have been pondering on how it would be like to have a Japanese boyfriend. I never was open on that idea before, but now.. I'm in the middle of accepting the possibility of dating a Japanese guy.

Here are some of the things I  have gathered from people with International Marriages, Japanese spouse and Foreign spouse:
1. Japanese Men are not romantic. Though they are responsible.
2. Japanese are not affectionate. Though they are kind.
3. Have no sense of family values. But it could depend on the person.

Here are more tips if you are planning to marry a Japanese:
1. Don't talk about religion.
2. Don't have kids until you reach your third anniversary. This way the kids won't suffer when you decided to divorce.
3. Don't talk about race/nationality issues.

But I guess everything depends on the person. Nationality doesn't matter. I met a Japanese who serenaded his wife during the time he was still courting her. Ain't that sweet.

I am amazed by spouses who are willing to migrate to the country of their spouse just to be with that person. Because I personally believe that it would be a very huge adjustment, a major sacrifice, and very deep love that would move that person to make such a decision. *hands down on you*
