Time is not on my side. One thing I noticed in Japanese Office Culture, japanese does not seem to take vacation leaves (VL) even if they are entitled to a few. They only take vacation during the holiday season, they do not maximize their rights as an employee. But being a gaijin (foreigner) in this company, I do take VL especially when I need them. Among the few reasons are when I need to process some necessary documents, or if I want to take a medical checkup, and so on and so forth. But I am guilty of taking VLs just for the sake of getting cheaper tickets to America during Golden Week. I understand why my japanese colleagues rant behind my back about the VLs I take, its because they envy foreigners who maximize their rights. So why did I say Time is not on my side. Well I made a wrong timing in scheduling my VL, but it can not be helped. What's done is done. I am scheduled to take another half day VL this thursday morning though. Let them rant behind my back, I don't care I have a 3-year visa already and that will do. On the another aspect of my life, Time again is not on my side. Time and Love won't cooperate for me. *pout* |
