Recently a Korean scientist, Dr. Hwang Woo-suk, successfully cloned a
dog. Cloning is not my field and with my limited knowledge in the field
of stem cell research, I would say this is awesome. I don't consider
cloning unethical unless it is done without permission. Assuming that
human cloning is possible, will it be possible to clone someone even
without permission? Or will a strand of my hair do to clone myself?
Scary thought, but I guess the advantages in cloning still outweighs
its disadvantages.
A decade ago, they were able to clone a sheep. Now its dogs. So whats
next? Personally, I don't think its much of an advancement for a ten
year span between cloning sheeps and dogs. I wonder if any scientist
have secretly cloned a human being, you know like the movie Hollow Man.
