Buying and selling at internet auction is gradually getting accepted by the net users. In first world countries like US and Japan, auction and internet shopping has become a normal way for shopping items.

In the history of internet auction, eBay is considered among the pioneers. If amazon is the most reliable site in buying books and other stuffs in the internet, then eBay is the on to be relied on when it comes to online auctions. In Japan, however, eBay was slow in grasping the market. They were behind a few months by Yahoo Japan Auction. With a few months advance, Yahoo Auctions quickly conquered the japanese internet users.

Now, Yahoo Japan Auctions has over a million users as well as millions of auction transactions. Some users get good bargain, while others are able to find hard to get collectible items.

You will need an account to be able to sell or bid. To get an account, you have to pay a monthly fee of 294yen. Plus for selling items, the basic cost for posting an item is 10.50 yen while Yahoo Japan gets a 3% commission for every sales that you get. For items such as autos, houses, etc, they charge a special rate.
